most people will stick with midnight to 0700 however if your Tariff has 2R on it then it's in GMT and isn't midnight. Peolpe in this situation were usually on Economy 7 with a two rate smart meter. Apart from the "2R" designation their bills from EOn have two meter readings (most have none) and the smart meter display itself will show different import rate register being used daytime vs night.
@heslop No, the time stays on local time, so keep charging 12:00 to 07:00
Totally off topic, but of general interest (to some maybe 🤣) - the Corn Exchange clock in Bristol has two minute hands, since Brizzle local time is around 10 minutes after London's standard (Grenwich) time
The expansion of railways meant a standardised time was needed to ensure that trains were running smoothly.
GMT was adopted across Great Britain as ‘railway time’ in 1847.
This is why a "2nd" hand was added to The Exchange’s clock (One for "railway-time" - one for "Brizzle-time") .
Bristol would not officially adopt GMT until 1852
