I had my vestel evc04 charger installed with my new home.
The charger was quite a pain to setup as the developer never gave me the manual or any passwords. I was told that without a password if that is lost, there is nothing that can be done and I’ll never be able to use the wifi with my charger..
Luckily the developer found the paperwork and I was able to setup.
Eon customer service made me download the eon home and eon drive apps. I use the eon home now.
I have a jaguar I-Pace so I set the car to “immediate charging” and set the app to charge from midnight to 7am. It only charged for maybe a quarter that time as I woke up and the percentage was small.
I tried the other way. I set the eon home to smart scheduling off and set my car to timed charging from midnight to 7am.
This seems to work, however it is still hit or miss if I actually wake up with my car charged. When I plug it in, the car states waiting to charge and is scheduled to start, however in the eon home app the “boost charge now” needs to be manually ticked on otherwise it seems that it will just not start at midnight.. and that setting does not always work.
It’s important to note that the charger is setup to not use RFID cards at all as well. Anyone experience something similar?
Additionally, neither the eon home nor the eon drive app show the usage of how much the charge sessions costs despite having typed in all tariff and car details. It just states no charge sessions and I have charged 10+ times now.
thanks in advance!
tldr: timed charging via smart scheduling in the eon home app does not work.
timed charging via my car does work, but not always and I need to “boost charge” within the eon home app.
app does not show charge sessions either
