So everything at the moment is going well with the Next Drive Smart v2. Although some improvements to the application for functionality and data would be appreciated.
* Information on previous charges and current charges, including time, KWh added, Kwh charge rate, and estimated cost to charge. Maybe a menu option to evaluate say the last 3-5 charges.
* Push notifications; to inform of upcoming cheap charging times…I’m not always on the ball with keeping the Tesla plugged in, so a notification of an upcoming period of cheap electricity would be a nice reminder to go and plug the EV in.
* An updated list of EV’s supported by the application and EOn. And a commitment to continually expand supported vehicles.
* At the moment the schedule only prepares a time when the EV is plugged in and idle. Maybe as well as a push notification, the application when opened could notify of upcoming cheap charging times.
Just a few ideas that certainly I personally would like to see implemented for an improved experience.
Regards
Chris

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we really do appreciate this as it helps with improvements going forward. 😊
As the Smart Next Drive has recently been launched we are always working on ways to improve this on the way the tariff and app functions. Once your statement has been issued you will be able to view your charges, which will include the KWH.
If there is anything else you need please let us know! 😊

@rwh202 Afternoon, yes I left it to continue charging, the Next Connect App updated around 2 hours later showing that those were scheduled times (although still stated as being idle).
Still in development I guess.
I’ll still double check my bill on that day to make sure 👍🏻
@Wills170 thanks for sharing your feedback on the app. I have flagged this up the chain for you as there are some good suggestions here. As the tariff is still in the testing phases it's great when we get feedback like this as it helps us to understand what features our customers love but also what is lacking and could be improved 🙌

I’ve just had my first statement through from the 20th March to the 31st March on the Next Smart Drive v2 showing that my peak rate usage has gone up to 32kwh, compared to 4.2kwh from the 5th March to 19th March when I was on the Next Drive v3.
I have been through my inverter data, and the only substantial peak time usage, was when the Next Connect App was charging my Tesla which should be billed at the 6.7p rate?
There needs to be reliability in the billing system for this Smart tariff to work…otherwise it’s more expensive to charge the vehicle and I’ll have to go back to overnight.

did you manage to reclaim the monies back on the incorrect billing?

for the billing issue encountered by this customer what are you doing to resolve the issue so he/she is billed correctly during this beta testing
With all due respect to the folk at e.on, this new tariff is going to be an order of magnitude more complicated to administer than anything else they offer.
Beta testers are going to be at the bleeding edge and probably need to be made more aware of this. There is the £10 incentive but not sure that is flagged as being compensation, which probably ought to be more.
ideally they’d find 10 or so enthusiastic testers, offer them free electricity for a year and nail things that way before making a more general release.
