would be great if they can get the Honda added, but unsure if the car has the capability.

Genuinely amazes me how often the Tesla gets an update to the software, whereas the eny:1 hasn’t had any over the air updates in the 12 months we have had it.

The competition seems to praise the Honda's e:Progress charging technology which is compatible with their "Agile", so (assuming it is standard on all models) hopefully yours should be supported soon

The eny:1 appears to be compatible with the smart tariff offered by Octopus Energy after checking on their website.

I wonder as it’s a new Tariff for EOn it may take time for agreements to be made with manufacturers to get new models added to the approved list…fingers crossed in time.

As I mentioned in the main post, it appears that I’m going to have to repeatedly change the settings in the Zappi Charger App dependent on which car is on charge…which could get a little tiresome over time, or forget to change the settings and a car either charge at peak time, or forget to charge at all.

Doesn’t the eny:1 offer any charge timers / scheduling of its own?
Can you schedule it for the 00:00-07:00 slot or a ‘ready time’ of 07:00 or similar?
That way you can leave the EVSE set for immediate charge for both cars?

I can’t get my setup to perform a test charge!

I am also on the smart tariff, can’t get the test charge to work on my ŠKODA, what settings does my charger need to be on? There doesn’t seem to be any help from Eon.

I'm following this with interest, but don't have any knowledge of the new EOn system.

However I found this video showing how the competition do their test-charge (around 3mins in) so not sure if it's going to be something similar - they require any charge-point and car schedules to be disabled for the initial test.

Plus there's a random delay (0>10mins) built into the chargers, so they might not start straight away.

@Spratto I am also having trouble I have a Skoda Iv 80 with a Pod Point solo 3 I have managed to connect but that’s it I set a schedule but nothing happens and when I unplug the car I have to start from the very beginning. There isn’t enough information on how to set it up or a trouble shooting page

    Evening,

Ensure you’ve followed all the advice initially, such as location services turned on in the car, ensure your charger is set to “Fast” and there
aren’t any schedules within the charger or on your car as the Next Connect App controls the charging schedules.

I have the myenergi Zappi and is set to charging mode Fast, which before would have charged my EV as soon as it was plugged in, but the Next Connect app creates the schedules.

    - An issue that I didn’t foresee, and has reared itself this evening. Scheduled charge from 21:30 which is great! Tesla began to charge, but my home storage batteries started discharging as well to the car; so I was ~4kwh from
the grid and ~ 3.5kwh from my FoxESS batteries.

Now I’ve been able to get around this issue when I was on the Next Drive Tariff between 00:00 and 07:00 by setting the batteries to force charge between the same hours, effectively 100% of the house load was being covered by the grid on the cheap overnight rate, including the EV charging and charging the batteries back to full. Then in the day time the solar/batteries take over and we become independent (as much as possible) from the grid.

However, with the nature of this tariff being that schedules could be at anytime of the day/week, I’m baffled as to how I can ensure that the load for the car is taken purely from the grid, and not draining my batteries to zero in the day time, which would result in then having to run the house on the more expensive electric unit rates.

Another forum mentions a Henley Block to hide the zappi charger from the inverter so it doesn’t see it as house load.

Seems to be getting complicated. Trying my best to do the right thing and move with the times, but issues beyond my general knowledge and understanding keep getting in the way.

Again, any information from anyone who maybe has had/having the same issue and maybe have worked a solution…would be greatly appreciated.

Afternoon, I’ve been through the settings on the Honda EV this morning; and as you said, I’ve managed to force the Honda not to charge between the periods of 07:00 and 00:00. I’ve tested with the Zappi and it is saying “EV not allowing charging”.

Brilliant. That solves that issue of having to configure the Zappi everytime.

    Many thanks for your suggestion.
