Holi also Known as the festival of colour, is celebrated across the world in the Hindu culture. It signifies the victory of good over evil and it marks the arrival of spring, which is believed to be a time of renewal and new beginnings.

    Celebrations

The festival includes bonfires (Holika Dahan) on the eve of Holi, symbolizing the burning of evil. Which then leads to the following day which is filled with people playing with colored powders (gulal) and water. The throwing of colors is associated with the playful love of Radha and Krishna (Hindu Gods). It celebrates the eternal and divine love of the deities Radha and Krishna to which the day marks their greatest love story.

Why do we throw colours on Holi

The throwing of colors, also known as playing Holi, is seen as a way of breaking down social barriers and bringing people of all ages and backgrounds together. The colors used during Holi are made from natural ingredients like flowers, herbs, and spices, and are believed to have medicinal properties. They arrange from bright and vibrant colours.

It's a time for people to come together, mend relationships, and celebrate with food, music, and dance.

    Happy Holi
