How do I get a smart meter

I've just moved to a new property with a smart electric meter and a traditional gas meter. I would like to upgrade the gas meter to smart too but don't seem to find that option on eonnext website. Can I not request a smart meter anymore?

Afternoon @efidan As you already have a smart electricity meter it's probably best speaking to Customer Services.

As @WizzyWigg has written CS is your best bet. But because they like to fit both meters at the same time to ensure the comms and IHD function properly, they may not be that keen to supply a smart gas meter, as configuring it to work with the existing set up might be problematic.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and think the smart meter programme is a waste of our money. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
