Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 💜
This week is Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, which is annually dedicated to spread awareness around the importance of the prevention of cervical cancer, knowledge around HPV (human papillomavirus) and encouragement for people to carry out regular cervical screenings 👩⚕️
What can I do to prevent cervical cancer?
- Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine 💉
- Cervical cancer screenings, eligible people will be invited for regular screenings
- Take precautions during intercourse
- Educate others on the importance of prevention
- Understand your own body ❤
I myself understand that the subject can be uncomfortable, it even took me until 28 years old to work up the courage for my first screening! But please be aware there is lots of support out there and having regular screenings/speaking with your GP around any concerns can help to understand and prevent cervical cancer.
