So both say 12.97kwh which I think is about right according to inverter.
Buts the costs are way out App says £0.96, IHD says £1.93. How can it be so far out?
I've been told that the app and IHD are just for guidelines...., I suspect that is a case of making stuff up as you go along rather than a factual answer.
The most accurate billing would be the meter itself and then the IHD unit, as the app can take a little longer to refresh and update the data. 😊
Data is pulled early hours of the next day so this can take a little longer to upload. May I confirm if your using the newer version of the app as with the current app version data usage takes 3-4 days to reflect in the app.
If there is anything else you need please reach out. 💜

Got a question about the launch of our Everyday Tracker - why not check out 👉 Everyday Tracker FAQs👈
Really....From what I can gather from others elsewhere the IHD can't handle TOU and only shows a single higher rate. That kinda goes with my interrogation of IHD as it only ever shows that rate. The app and IHD are just number jumblers then?
The usage is the same @ 12.97kwh on both but even if you add the standing charge onto app amount £ the math still doesn't add up to IHD £.
So yes we’re currently developing a new API that will reduce this time to 2 days or less, as we understand 3-4 days is not convenient for our customers. The IHD unit and the app is more of a guide for your usage and I would suggest the most accurate billing would be on your actual statements.
The best way to check if you are on the latest version of the app would be to reinstall from the app store. 😊
@Indyk_EONNext
the IHD can't handle TOU and only shows a single higher rate.
The IHD is just a "repeater" of the data/values read from the meter itself, so if your meter only stores a single rate that's what the IHD shows
Not sure how I can accurately check bills?
What everyone does is use the Bright app; register your meters with this and you get a similar app to the EOn app. reading the data directly from the meter (via the DCC)
You can override the single tariff value (read from the meter) and put in your actual day/night TOU rates so the app will show the true costs
However you can also then go to their parent website glowmarkt.com and login using your Bright login credentials, and download around 13 months of your ½ hourly/daily/monthly energy usage in CSV format directly from your meter.
Load this into excel and apply your tariff amount(s) to the TOU kWh usage to calculate your actual cost usage to validate your bills 👍
I'm disappointed you are not promoting Excel Pivot tables after all that training I gave you!
