The whole thing is a farce. Eon seem unable to carry out the simplest task.
The display on the meter has now started to turn on random segments of the display, so it's impossible to work out which numbers it's trying to display.
Depending on the time of Day pressing the blue button shows either R, R1 or R2. R & R1 look like the same value and R2 is different. Am I correct in assuming that R/R1 is peak and R2 is off peak ?
Hello @davidn, Welcome to the Community 😀 I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with this. You are correct that the R1 is peak and R2 is off peak - an easy way to check this on your meter is to boil a kettle a few times from cold water and see which reading increases. Have you been in contact with an Energy Specialist regarding the tariff? How did you get on?

Jumping on this as I have a similar issue. Looking at my last bill My day rate is shown as night rate and vis.versa. From what I can see the correct readings are being used for the correct p/kwh but it is most alarming at first glance. Having moved from another supplier due to constant billing issues my heart sank when I saw this.
its not been unknown for R1 and R2 to be reversed. The readings will increase as you use power and checking them twice an hour apart will confirm whether R1 is peak or not.
if peak consumption is being labelled as off peak, but correctly charged as peak, it’s a minor matter. But if peak is being billed as off peak and vice versa then it’s a major error, needing paid correction.
