Hello everyone, My name is Marcin and I'm a new member of this community. I have read a few posts about the issue I have and I think I'm looking for a confirmation that Eon has messed up with my installation. here we go,
I have moved into my new flat on the 5th October. A couple of rooms have storage heaters. They were working fine. Sometimes I had to wake up at night to turn them down. On the 15th of the months Eon has sent a guy to put the new smart meter on. He did his thing. Left a leaflet and left. Storage heaters have not worked since. According to Eon I'm still on dual tariff, they confirmed that to me during an online chat. I have experimented with different setting on the heaters and the results were the same. Ice cold.
There's a lot of very clever people here so please have a look at the setup they done and see if there's anything out of order. We're having temperatures on -4, -5 here in Scotland now and goes without saying, I'm freezing. I have purchased an electric heater of course but I'd love to have the storage heaters working as I could have warmth released throughout the day and have the heaters recharged over night. You know the drill.
Thank you all for help.
It's a five terminal meter. It just sounds like the ALC relay hasn't been configured properly.
Call to customer services will be required.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I hope all is well? Thank you for joining our Eon Next community and I am sorry to hear you have been experiencing issues with your storage heaters after your smart installation, we surely need to get this resolved for you asap!
