My IHD (Duet II) has lost its connection to my smart meter for about 2 weeks now.. has anyone else had issues with theirs ? apparently it's something to do with an update that doesn't seem to be working (according to the customer service agent i spoke to yesterday) he basically said "sorry cant do anything, do you want to buy another smart meter for £50 !?! ) 😮 i then asked him if that would help the issue.. he said..probably not ! why would i buy one then !! 😡

@Melanieward Have you tried the usual things. Unplug the IHD move close to your actual meters, particularly the comms hub. Wait for a few minutes. Plug back in and see if the IHD connects.

Unfortunately this seems to be quite a common problem with E.On - a Google search gives this result...

If you don't have any joy with E.On customer services with connecting your existing IHD, one solution I've tried which gives accurate results (within +-1%) is one of these. The there's not a direct electrical connection: the sensor just clamps round the main cable from your meter and uses an induction coil to measure the current flowing. You use an app on your phone to view your real-time consumption

@geoffers
Hi, hmm this looks a bit too complicated 🤪 i take it it only does the electric and not the gas.. i might just keep complaining 😅
Thanks for the info though ! -

I guess keeping complaining is an option as you'll probably get loads of different answers from C.S, so eventually (statistically) one of them might actually be a workable solution🤣Last edited by geoffers; 22 Minutes Ago at 12:05.
