@geoffers I downloaded the app. I have a SMETS 2 meter but cannot find the GUID for it.
The meter itself has an identifying MPAN number (meter point administration number) which you can find on your bill, or by scrolling through the displays on the meter https://www.comparethemarket.com/ene...t/mpan-number/
You will also need your IHD's GUID which you can view on the IHD by scrolling through its settings menus or as @retrotecchie says it's printed on the back/bottom of the IHD itself
Does the Bright app display the day and night meter readings plus gas and read all 3 every half hour?
Yes 👍- your meter probably only stores one of the tariff rates, so by default Bright will only pick this value up from the meter, but you can override this and enter your actual tariff rates to get the correct costings.
Also you can download your ½ hourly usage in CSV format from their website at glowmarkt.com and load this into a spreadsheet etc
That screen shot is based on time though.
Night rate tariff 12p can be the same for 24 hours it's just that the meter only increases during the night period it's set to say 00:30 to 07:30.
Same for day tariff 26p - can be the same for 24hours it's just that the meter only counts it during the day outside 00:30 to 07:30
Does the App display the meter reading for day and the meter reading for night every half hour?
eg
6am day 1234 night 5678
7 am day 1234 night 5685
8am day 1240 night 5690
9am day 1245 night 5690
Obviously the day reading wont increase over night and the night reading wont increase during the day.
Looking at your screenshot, I'm assuming that SC figure is for both utilities? Either that or you live in one of the only two regions more expensive than South Wales 🤣🤣
I'm paying 52p a day SC for 'leccy only and that's daylight robbery 😜
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Thanks - is TOU Time of Use?
For an Eco7 meter you just need the meter reading day x tariff day plus meter reading night x tariff night.
Using time is probably for a single rate meter where time is used for the changeover point.
It give different total to the meter readings
All I'm hoping the half hour readings to do is let me know both actual meter readings at that point.
Can the App display both readings?

Ahhh - but I bet you don't get 7 hours worth of electricity at 6.7p/kWh hour 😉
