Hi, I have received a text message saying 'Hi, it's E.ON Next. We've identified that your smart meters will stop working soon. You'll receive a message from 447520635814 to book your appointment to exchange them. Please reply to the message that follows."
When I look up the number is says it primarily associated with a utility scam and is a mobile number operated by Tismi BV.
Can anyone confirm if this is genuine of it is indeed a scam as I did receive a message from the number mentioned and have since deleted it.
Afternoon @Plymrocker It's probably a message from Eon Next but I'm going to tag in one of the Nexties just to confirm. It's always best to check. @DebF_EONNext please could confirm this number is correct.
@DebF_EONNext thanks very much for confirming. The issue I have is that the EON text informing me of the forthcoming text from 447520635814 came after I received the text from 447520635814 and as I though it was dodgy I deleted the text. Will I receive a followup reminder as I'm now not sure how I book an appointment to have the smart meters replaced.
