My Smart Meter Reader has been showing 0 pence usage per day for the last couple of weeks. I have tried turning it on and off again numerous times and placed nearer to the smart meter but to no avail! Also, my monthly usage cost looks wrong on it! Oddly enough, this happened a few weeks ago as well after a power cut but came back on again. However, since the latest power cut the IHD isn't showing cost per day. I really rely on this to keep an eye on how much I am using.
I've done this just out of interest and it gives a real-time display of power usage/cost on its app on your phone This is pretty much the same as displayed by the IHD (maybe slightly under reading) - the sensor just clips round the live cable from your meter and measures the current flowing through it (no direct wiring required as it's an induction coil....apart from a normal mains plug to power the unit)
@Mailman Oddly - the Kwh registers ok - its just the usage in pence that is showing 0.
Have you had a look at the meter display itself - the IHD is just a remote display for the info held on the actual meter, so it could be that somehow the tariff information held on the meter was lost in the power cut ☹️
You may have to Google for instructions on the button presses required for your particular meter - let us know what model it is as someone may already have the details : mine's a Landis+Gyr e470 type 5424, so I have these instructions if your's is the same
If the meter has lost the tariff, using Bright will also show zero tariff (as it reads this from the meter) - however you can override this in Bright and enter your correct tariff to give your actual costs 👍

You beat me to it 👍
I just checked my tariff information on my meters and the IHD this morning. Both are in alignment with my tariff as displayed on my account (22.19 p/kWh and SC 57.44p/day).
@JHP, if the meter has also lost your tariff information perhaps contacting Eon Next requesting a 'tariff update request' might get this tariff information back on your meter and henceforth back on your IHD. However doing this might not be the instant panacea to your issues as you can see from this thread where the OP had no end of issues until it was finally resolved.
