From 1st October 2024, we’ll be removing our 100% renewable offer from most of our fixed tariffs. The Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) backed electricity offer will now only apply to Next Gust and Next Drive tariffs.
We are not making any changes to the business/SME tariffs.
Why the change? 🤔
🌟 Since introducing tariffs with 100% renewable electricity, we’ve shown millions of people they can make a difference in their own lives as well as impacting and increasing renewable generation on the grid.
💰 We've provided 100% renewable electricity with all our fixed tariffs at no extra cost, however due to the changes in market dynamics, we’ve reviewed our approach and we have now shifted the focus to the next steps of our sustainability journey. This involves helping our customers at home, in business and across communities to make their own decisions about what’s right for them.
Customers won’t lose out as their current tariffs are priced the same.
💡We will continue to support development of renewable sources by buying electricity through Renewable Power Purchase Agreements (‘PPA’s’) and by trading in energy markets. Our underlying approach to buying electricity will not change and we’re committed to expanding our PPA portfolio.
🌳 We're developing a much broader set of ways for customers to engage with sustainability, reduce their carbon impact and reduce energy costs. We’ll be doing this through partnerships with popular sustainability projects and charities.
⏳ This means, Time of Use tariffs for lower costs when renewable electricity is high, more regular Energy Shift events and the opportunity for customers to bundle their solutions to get the most out of their energy.

What's next for our residential customers? 🏠
- We’ll be updating our fixed tariff terms and conditions from the 1st of October. All customers will continue to receive 100% renewable electricity with all new fixed residential tariff contracts before this date.
- We will continue to honour our residential customers on fixed energy tariffs with 100% renewable electricity until the end of their contracts.
- We’ll continue to keep you updated on product development that demonstrates our continued commitment to developing personalised and sustainable solutions that are right for every customer!
