Four weeks ago I had 24 ground mounted solar panels installed. I have not paid the final instalment as there have been a few issues. So it isn't MCS certified. Unfortunately the installation company don't seem to be able to get the new Solis 8kw Inverter to communicate with the 2014 Fronius Galvo 3.0 Inverter. I was wondering if there is anybody on this site that can offer any advice.
Communication between inverters for seg and fit

I had 12 solar panels installed on my roof in 2014 from which I have been receiving FIT payments for generation and export.

From my initial investigation, the Fronis Inverter has lots of standard communication protocols that allow communication and integration with other systems. The Solis is rather limited in that respect as it may have an optional W-Fi connection but the only other interface is RS485.
Although both are capable of communication using the ModBUS electrical standards, it's unlikely that their data protocols are capable of talking to each other.
The bottom line is that both units speak different languages! If someone tech savvy enough had the time and the full specifications of each unit's capabilities and and parameters, then there is no reason why something couldn't be implemented but it would require a custom software solution rather than a simple cable or off-the-shelf software package.Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
