I changed my direct debit date last month from the end of the month (28th) to the 15th of the month.
I did so a week before the payment was due but the payment still took at the end of the month. The new direct debit is still set to take on the 15th, which would result in me paying double for my energy this month.
The direct debit date is not able to be changed from my end as no payment has been made yet, but could it be returned to the end of the month, or pushed to the 15th of September to prevent a dubleo payment please?
The forum is mostly manned by other customers - we are not customer services. You'll need to contact customer services to sort this out.
Processing of DD information is tightly controlled by the Banking industry and highly regulated due to the sheer number of transaction handled each day, and it seems that your request was too late for the July payment.

@Gtw1234 Hey, great to hear from you. Have you got this sorted yet?
Usually being so close to a Direct Debit collection date I would be inclined to cancel the DD and then set this back up in a day or 2, you can do this online or by contacting customer services.
Let me know how you've got on with this today?
Thanks
