I did ring customer service and the lady said she thought it would stop working (but she also said she thought it wouldn’t work with my current tariff!).
Drive Fixed v3 and in-home display

Hi. I am currently on the older Next Drive Fixed tariff (v1 I presume) and it’s time to renew my tariff. When I go to sign up for Next Drive Fixed v3, there is a message saying “Due to the way this tariff works your In-Home Display will stop working.” Can anyone please confirm whether this is true? My smart meter display works with my current Next Drive tariff. Admittedly the price per unit is not correct, but I can live with that as I am mostly interested in the real time kW energy usage. Will my meter actually stop working completely with the new tariff or is this just a way of saying the unit cost will not show correctly?

I'm currently on V3, having changed from V1 a couple of months early (no exit fee so you can change any time)
Can't see why it should affect your IHD at all - sure : mine doesn't show correct costs either since the meter only stores one tariff rate, but the actual kWh usage is correct. -
Thanks geoffers. That’s good to know. Strange that eon say otherwise though- perhaps they’re just trying to cover themselves in case customers complain of the wrong tariff rate being displayed?

Though why they think there would be a difference between V1 & V3 is inexplicable -
@evindevon Welcome to the Community! I do believe that when a customer switches to our EV tariffs, the IHD will only show one of the meter rates and would not be a true reflection of usage 🤔

Hi - I am about to join Flex drive fixed v3 - what are the rates for this tariff and how does it differ from v1? I signed up attracted by the 6.9p/kWh that is advertised on the web site.
