@Thewookiewon Any changes if any moving forward would always be inline with the guidance.

Any changes you would be told in advance, to be honest and in my opinion here, with solar my goal would be to use all units in my home vs them going back. I mean the cost of energy vs my seg rate would lead into that, if I was on the highest rate we offer then that might change.

The good news here is your set up, everything is in place 😀

I am still really confused, is it allowed to export brown energy to the grid?
I am considering moving from Octopus, which encourages the export of brown energy to help with balancing the grid. I will not be moving to E.ON if this is not allowed.
i also read on another thread that you cannot have a SEG if you have AC batteries. How does this make sense when Tesla Powerwall 2 are AC?

Yep which other providers tariffs is built to accommodate for, so clarification is obviously needed. I'm thinking of users with just batteries and no PV is another scenario of brown energy user

Problem is there isn't an easy way to differentiate between battery discharge and PV discharge to grid if you've got both capabilities.

Any export from an installation with just solar for generation is brown if it's before sun-up or after sun-down

Tesla Powerwall 2 batteries are DC as is every other battery. They just have a built in inverter in the unit to provide compatible AC as opposed to systems that have the battery and inverter as seperate items. There is no difference as far as export is concerned in terms of 230V 50Hz.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
