Solar generation meter discrepancy

    Hi
    I have a solar PV system, which was installed in 2014. In 2019 the generation meter reading was too high, the amount was obvious as the system could not generate that amount, the FIT company would not accept the reading. An engineer visited and replaced the meter; this seemed to solve the problem. In 2023 I had batteries & a new hybrid inverter fitted. Approx 6 months after the batteries were installed the meter started reading too high again. I got a new meter fitted in April this year; unfortunately this has not resolved the issue this time. Chatting with the electrician he did not understand why it worked last time and was sceptical about it working.
    Has anyone else experienced the generation meter showing a reading way too high and how was it resolved?
    Thanks

    @nevinchester Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply, I wanted to check in and see if you had got this sorted?

    Do you know if the read is inline with your Estimated Annual Generation at all? On your MCS certificate it should have something called EAG, I can take a look and try to advise?

    The best people to speak to would be your installer, usually after an inverter change, too high reads are normal, however usually level themselves out after about 18-24 months as the system needs to build up a new history.

    Let me know how you got on and we can go from there.

    Thanks
