Hi, ive recently joined Eon on the Next Drive tariff.
The day I transferred import I also requested to transfer my solar to Eon export exclusive.
Ive sent the export reading photo and all other required documents back but there seems to be some confusion online about wether Eon will pay export from the reading photo submitted during the application.
This appears to take some time to process which I dont understand as I already have MPAN for export and MCS etc.
Can Lee or someone else confirm this please as im not keen on losing 8 weeks of summer export.
Morning @Shaund Have you spoken to FIT/SEG Team directly or communicated just via email/WhatsApp etc.
They can be contacted on 0808 501 5218 if this assists you to receive a quicker response/further advice on any information required to progress this as soon as possible for you!
You wouldn't lose out on Export during a switch or application.
The switch, the old supplier would pay up to the switch read, which is when we take over.
In terms of new application, appreciate this isn't you, we pay to the install read which is mostly zero - Depending on the install date. For it to be backdated the install would need to have been within the last 12 months.
Have you spoken to the team at all about this? Let me know how you're getting on 😀

I have tried to speak to them but was on the phone for 52minutes trying to get through. The Energy helpdesk.couldnt get through to them either.
I was already receiving export payments for 2 years before the switch. At my previous supplier I was on a combined import/export tariff and left a final export reading the same as photo submitted in the Seg application with Eon. So from what you are saying it will be from that reading.
@Shaund You can get through to them directly on this number 0808 501 5218 - If you call the generic customer number, you will speak to someone who's trained on Electric and Gas, not solar.
I did a test call on the number at 4pm today for a customer and got through in under 30 seconds. Try the number above for me asap, the team are open for calls between 9-4:30 on a Friday.
Monday to Friday 9-5pm but as above its 4:30 on a Friday.
Were you on a Feed in tariff for both? Opted out for Deemed export to move to SEG? Give the number above a call if this continues let me know. We will get it sorted.
@Lee_EONNext
It was that number I called but after being in queue for ages it put me through to the generic helpdesk and they tried to put me through but couldn't get a reply either.
