We are on Economy 7
On 8 May we had a new meter installed now the display says approx twice a day that the Tariff is changing and the Tariff now says rate 1 £0.40.38 and Rate 2 £0.15.50 standing charge £0.56.78
My contract says Rate 1 £0.29.72
Rate 2 £0.09.27
Standing Charge £0.55.72
Can any one tell me please why this reading wrong as it been set up wrong and is the rate changing during the night meaning we pay the higher rate whilst charging the storage heaters
Thank you
It's not uncommon for the In Home Display to show incorrect tariffs. The best thing to do is to contact Customer Services and ask them to push a tariff update through. Once done it should be correct within 24 hours.
As long as your tariff is correct when you log in to your account, you will always be charged correctly irrespective of what the IHD shows.
Good morning @Cav As primarily a Customer to Customer forum we don't have access to your account so best thing to do is contact Customer Services. Ways to do so can be found here: https://eonnext.com/contact
Have you asked Customer Services to push a tariff update through for you? If you have and it's still showing the wrong prices then you'll need to ask them again I'm afraid. They also suggest switching your IHD off and on again but I have my doubts whether that makes any difference.
the most important thing to resolve first is which register, 1 or 2, is for daytime and which for off peak. This is not standard everywhere.
this is important as you bills are calculated from those registers. Simple observation of the register increases by day and off peak will suffice and then check against your online account that Eon Next is logging them the correct way round.
the rates on you IHD come from the meter and in turn the meter gets its price data from the supplier. However it’s said that the IHD and meter can show different data which might be solved by switching the IHD off. But that’s unnecessary if they’re both showing the same incorrect data.
