Is Eonnext really unable to update account details. These houses have been there for centuries and have not changed names in most of that time.
Unable to change address

The home address for my account is wrong, belonging to a house further along the same road. I’ve tried to update the account, instead receiving a message that this is a known issue and they’re not able to do anything and giving me a link to the online community forum.

Best AnswerOoh @clive1965 this doesn't sound right at all. This could be an issue with a crossed meter or it could be that your account just needs updated on our system or the national database.
I would recommend you get in touch with an energy specialist over social media (WhatsApp) and they will be able to support with this. If you do have any trouble let us know and we can see what we can do for you 😊Last edited by HelenaP_EONNext; 4 Weeks Ago at 13:54.

Did you try through your online account or did you contact customer service? Seems strange to be directed to the forum.I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit. -
@clive1965
No you should not been referred to the forum for a resolution, but you’re welcome anyway.
why is the address is wrong - how long has it been an issue? The most important thing is that your account is actually for your meter - check the supply details on your account to the actual meter. It might be that a national database linking meters to addresses has incorrect details and thus requires Eon Next to go through the appropriate to get it corrected, you as the customer cannot do more than badger them into action, I’d try CS again, record the call and make a complaint if necessary.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. @JoeSoap, yes applied through the app online. To be honest I realised I hadn’t checked the details properly. The house was fully renovated 2 years ago, including a full new electrical installation. I only noticed a few days ago

@meldrewreborn
agreed, I’ll be insisting they make the appropriate changes. No idea why grey claim not to be able to change it -
Best to contact customer service direct on this one using one of the methods in Contact Us in the purple section at the bottom of this page. -
Thank you @DebF_EONNext
i have re asked CS directly if they will again look at the address change, I would have thought it should be straight forward. The meter number matches the one on my bills, I believe it should simply be an update of the name of the house -
