So why do I see the 'health check' suggesting a move back to a fixed DD amount? It implies that being on Variable DD is unhealthy 🤔 Surely the flag should be passed whatever method of DD you have in place?
Health Check

On the one hand I was well impressed with the CS agent that I spoke to a couple days ago who reinstated my Variable Direct Debit on my new fix quickly and efficiently 👍 - no more discussing about the level of Fixed Direct Debit (that uses the EAU (estimated annual usage) figures which are a little above what they actually have been. So when the next statement is raised (1st May' ish) the DD is raised on the statement balance and some 15 days later the DD is taken zeroising the account at that date.
So why do I see the 'health check' suggesting a move back to a fixed DD amount? It implies that being on Variable DD is unhealthy 🤔 Surely the flag should be passed whatever method of DD you have in place?

That Health Check is now becoming a pain in the .... As far as I can tell there's no option to say no thanks, I'll stay as I am. So if you don't have smart meters for example, and don't want them, that annoying pop up is going to appear every time you log in.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.

Mine's asking for a meter reading even though I sent one on the 31st March and they sent me a bill later that day. Scrolling down the page it says the next reading is due in 25 days, technology is great isn't it! -
Morning @Mailman I haven't got health check on my online account but I just found this under 'manage payments'. Never noticed it before. 🤔

As I’ve long disclosed my gas is with EDF. This week I wanted to reduce my DD because prices had reduced. So I wanted to go down from £92 to £77. The computer said the correct level was £53!!!!, but if I opted for that, I was told the figure needed to be closer to my original £92, even when I tried £77.
so a phone call, it seems EDF have upgraded their system and this one doesn’t yet have 12 months data - hence the low assessment of my DD level. Not the most intelligent transition policy methinks but I was able to get the DD changed to £77. When the automation fails then humans are necessary to get things done.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless. -
I have neither the health check nor the new mini statement thing on my account. I don't think I'm missing out on much 😂I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

@Andy65 @retrotecchie @Mailman @meldrewreborn @WizzyWigg
I agree about the Health Check becoming a pain. There should definitely be an option to say 'No thank you'. Mine is now telling me today to submit meter readings in 18 days time, but I have Smart Meters, so I'll have to wait and see if they've suddenly become dumb again since the price reductions on 1st April, and I need to start sending manual readings in again.🙄😂Last edited by Tommysgirl; 06-04-24 at 10:08.

I had the account check on my account then it disappeared, it was always 'A-OK'. When my Mums' account was added the health check re-appeared but it only applies to her account. If I switch the view to my account there's no health check.
You're certainly not missing anything in my opinion, apart from the annoying pop-up when you log in. I'll use the app more than my laptop in future I think, it's far less intrusive on the app - so far anyway.
