If you get that 'Payment Review ' screen it's definitely worth a look if you like pretty coloured graphs and crystal ball predictions. 🤣 Saying that it's pretty accurate for me 🤔. It agrees closely to the almighty spreadsheet. Goodness knows how, perhaps this is the start of AI. 😳🤣🤣

They have just dropped my DD to reflect my new tariff. Too low now by my calculations so will have to be hiked again before long. I’ll let them take one low payment then adjust it up a bit to keep it as steady as possible for the duration of the contract.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
'We've found something that needs your attention ...' ... 'Account Health Check - Change to Fixed Direct Debit' just appeared on my online dashboard ... I have been on Variable Direct Debit since I joined on 1st Jan 2024.
My immediate reaction ... disingenuous and insulting.
The questions I ask regarding being on Variable Direct Debit, an accepted payment method ...
- Am I, or am I likely, to be physically or mentally unhealthy? - NO
- Am I, or am I likely, to be financially impacted? - NO
- Is it more time consuming ensuring funds are available on a direct debit date? - NO
- Am I, financially better off by having funds to pay a direct debit in a flexible savings account at 5%, rather than an excess held by E.ON Next at 0% - Sorry I don't know the answer to that one.
