Here's the 3rd Feb in kWh on Hugo.
High gas meter reading

That was my big worry we pay by Direct debit. So surely they shouldnt try to take a huge sum out. Well good luck to them it's not there 🙂.

@Theldron
I'm more baffled now. I calculated your approximate consumption using a figure of around 7p/kWh to arrive at my 30,000m3 on 3 Feb. I can now see it's about half that consumption (I missed the kWh on your original screenshots of the cost) so more in line with the calculation of @meldrewreborn. But that would mean you are paying over 14p/kWh for your gas would it not?
Sorry if I'm confusing things.I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit. -
@JoeSoap Hiya sorry I haven't had much chance to sit down and work it out. Its just been panic stations to be honest about how much it was. I know Hugo is going to be 100% accurate but according to it it went haywire at 3.30pm and then went back to normal after. Very odd.

@Theldron
That would mean that as @meldrewreborn says there looks like there must be somewhere other than 3 Feb that has shown excessive gas consumption.
Sorry for doubting your calculations @meldrewreborn 😬 -

I went back and did it your way and it seemed correct, but then did it my way again and mine looked right. The price element solves it. I was using the kWh figure in the original images.
Clearly something is very amiss.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless. -
...as is the correct way to do it. I had failed to see the kWh so estimated with the (incorrect) cost and so I clearly need to visit Specsavers 👓 -
Very odd. If I use my gas conversion factor from my statements then 3 Feb consumption is more in the region of 15,000 units, as per the calculations of @meldrewreborn, but your consumption, using your meter readings, has jumped by over 30,000 units. Where did the other 15,000 come from, I wonder.
