I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
Folks...Joe and I are separated by some 200-odd miles so are both members of completely separate lodges. I'm sure the secret handshakes and the way we roll up our trouser legs are totally different on either side of the Prince of Wales Bridge.
I was looking at NEXT SECURE FIXED 24M V1 a few days ago and that changed to v2 yesterday and was a bit cheaper than v1 so presumably they are already taking in the new April price cap. That's not to say they won't change again.
Any idea of the eligibility for this tariff?
It would be good if Eon Next indicated what makes certain current tariffs eligible for some customers but not others.
The usual caveats. Agreeing to £150 per fuel exit fees and agreeing to a smart meter, if eligible. You know my position on the damn things, but E.On don't do anything meter related this far west so they accepted my sign-up no problem. I think one of the other key features of the tariff is fixed monthly Direct Debits but they seem fine with my variable DD.
The only downer...they erroneously charged me a £75 exit fee for coming off Loyalty V4 which they tacked onto my account as soon as I switched yesterday. Today my new tariff went live, so I submitted my meter reading just after midnight....and that's triggered a bill and a scheduled DD payment for the bill amount PLUS the erroneous exit fee. If they refund the exit fee in the next three days as they promised on Whatsapp yesterday, I bet they won't reduce the DD payment. But hey ho....that'll be next month's bill more than covered 🤣🤣🤣👍

I haven’t got a clue. I don’t recall seeing the 15 month fix that you got offered. You would think that every tariff should be offered to every customer.
