@geoffers I can’t see any of those two pages and I am also on a dual tariff. It seems as if they aren’t particularly interested in solving the wider problem. To be fair, as soon as the next price cap comes into effect I will be changing to a supplier that can help me save money and allow me to monitor my consumption effectively.
@boatyed - I think the app is very device specific: I've got the latest v=1.12.952 version but there are other users with the latest version who get the older usage displays (these displays only appeared for me a few weeks ago in an app update)
No other apps in my experience show this degree of inconsistency 😕
Hi @boatyed thanks for the reply. I must admit I don't rely on the apps. Easier the old fashioned way of taking readings and keeping a spreadsheet. My smart meters are a little erratic when it comes to sending data.
@boatyed - BTW if you use the Bright app, you can override the incorrect tariff rate picked up from your meter and add both elements of your ToU rate to show your true costings.
You can also refresh Bright by "dragging-down" at the top to show your fairly recent usage (by default it seems to refresh at midnight-ish)
Then you can also download your half hourly usage over the past 13 months in CSV format from their parent website glowmarkt.com

I agree.
However I am a more than happy to monitor my usage through the IHD rather than any of the apps mentioned - I record the daily total kWh each morning (for the previous day's usage) lifted from the IHD history menu. I don't use any of the budgeting aspects of the IHD (beacuse the tariff info is seldom updated/correct on it) This kWh information is replicated in Bright but I seldom use Bright for that although that day may come if my IHD decides to go fubar on me. What I have used Bright for is the added 30 min kWh usage data that has enabled me to predict my results from this winter's DFS scheme. Using a spreadsheet enables me to predict with increasing accuracy what my monthly bill is heading towards plus my own trend information (monthly rolling kWh usage for both utilities).
@boatyed, getting the Eon Next app to work reliably and efficiently for all has proved extremely difficult I know but the fact I don't use it doesn't stop me personally being able to save money and/or monitor my kWh/£ usage easily. Whether I stay with Eon Next or not will not be dependent on its own app I neither use or particularly rate. 🍻
