Export Reading on Kaifa MA120B Smart Meter

Hi.
When this Smart Meter was installed last week the display cycled through Time, Date, Total Reading (+A) and Export Reading (-A).
Today it has changed to Time, Date, Rate 1 (day) and Rate 2 (night). I guess this is ok as I'm on an E7 tariff, but how do i see the Export reading.

I had the same issue with my Kaifa MA120 not displaying the export -A values, and found this thread.
When I contacted Kaifa support, they told me that the export values are only displayed when the meter has seen at least 1kWh export.
We had only recently had solar installed and, with our battery storage, all the solar power was being fully used by our domestic load, so we hadn't exported anything.
So I forced the Inverter to export 1kWh to the grid and, sure enough, the meter then displayed the -A figure of 1kWh.
So, if your meter isn't displaying -A, it might just be because there hasn't been any export yet.
Mentioning on this thread in case this helps anyone else, as there is very little information online about Kaifa meters and the supplier instructions don't mention this either.

There are two types of MA 120B and the way to what you want may be different for each one. Can you have a look here and let us know whether you have the Hardware Platform V1 or V2 please. This will help get the right advice.

I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

Assuming you have solar as that is what you need the export reading for.

Press the top, or left button and then use the bottom or right button to select General Display. That should take you back to the original display. To get back to your ToU display, the menu will let you select ToU.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately what you suggest just takes me back to the display cycling Time, Date, Total (+A), Rate1, Rate 2 display. Still can't see anything for the Export (-A) reading.

thanks, I have seen that document but it just takes me back to the Time, Date, Total, Day, Night cycling display.
Can’t find anything that displays the export.

Sorry I can’t be of more help. It seems it’s not easy to find a manual or clear instructions for your particular meter and there have been a few enquiries on here of late.
