Hi all.
Is there an eon next agent on here who can look into why half of my dual fuel bill has not been taken out of my bank please.
Bill was due to be taken out on the 8th January 2024 but only the electric side has been taken.
I have emailed eon next but I just seem to get a reply from a monkey who has no idea what they are talking about. (I Need to speak to the organ grinder)
Getting a bit peed off now.
Thanks.
Karl.
I'm not sure what's happened here it could be that the bills were issued on separate days due to not having the calorific values in on time so the direct debit wasn't collected, however if you are worried you can make a one off payment by logging in to your online account.
If you still need some support then I would suggest contacting one of our energy specialists and they will be able to help you further. You can find all of our contact information in this thread: How to Contact us

the only way to deal with this is through customer service.
However so long as you’ve done nothing wrong, I’d give it till next week to call them. It will probably sort itself out, and early intervention may only complicate matters.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@Gixerkarl Hi I'm not an employee of Eon app just another customer who has similar problem frequently. This forum is primarily customer to customer. Have you checked your online account to see if a gas reading has been taken for around the 8th of January? Ok I'm assuming you have smart meters. If there is no reading I would submit a manual reading via your online account or app. This will trigger off a statement for your gas.
Yes I have checked and only half the bill (electric) has been taken. Yes readings where both taken same day. Submitting manual readings with a smart meter fitted total messes up bills trust me been there done that got the t shirt. Lol.
Hey @Gixerkarl, when you log in to your online account does it show the gas a pending charge? It could be that we didn't have the calorific values in at the time so it wasn't billed. The other thing to check are the accounts set up as dual fuel or are they on separate account numbers, if it's the latter then they may be billed on different dates. You can request this to be updated so both are billed at the same time. 😊
I have been a dual fual customer for over 6 year now. I have a bill for my months usage and the bill stated that eon next would take payment for the whole bill on the 8th January
Bill covers both gas and electric from 22nd November till 22nd December.
Paid vi's VDD.
Bill was generated on 23rd December.
Payment to be taken from my bank on 8th January.
Electric part was taken on 8th January.
Gas side still not taken.
I have never had this happen before as a customer of eon next.
It's getting beyond a joke now I had other bill problems a d smart meter reading problems in the past which very nearly totally tipped me over the edge (mental health problems which eon next know about as I am on their vulnerable person list) but just shows they don't give a **** about their customers topping themselves.
Eon next take smart meter readings on the 22nd of each month then generate a bill to send me with a direct debt collection on date. I am on a variable pay for what I use tariff it has been like this for many years now with eon next
