I am a Eon Next customer and interested in solar with battery.
Could someone explain what happens at the end of the Export Exclusive fixed term? I know the tariff rate may change but will it always be a better rate than the basic Export, providing I remain a customer of Eon Next of course?

So at the end of the year, you will be free to choose if you stay with us or move the SEG to another supplier, hopefully the rates at the moment will stay in place or increase. The prices are negotiated every year.
Towards the end you will be sent notification about payment, and then a renewal, you can then choose to accept or reject.
We have no idea what the prices are going to be, they were originally negotiated in January however it's usually around April, usually that is.

My query revolves around the big difference between Export and Export Exclusive tariffs and whether this difference will be maintained, even if tariffs alter at end of fixed period. I know nobody can give me what the rates might be, but will there always be that difference?

@SteveL Potentially yes, because one is rewarding our customers if you like? Will there always be such a difference? Really tough to say, Export has really taken off since the increase in tariff so I hope it continues.
There are so many variables to the question, I would purely just keep your eye out for updates etc. Either way your agreement is for 12 months, before the end of the agreement you should know what the rates are or will be.
