I just wanted to pop you some info about our E.ON Next: Next Pledge tracker tariff. This tariff was previously only available to existing customers however the good news is - it's now been opened up to both new and existing customers. You may have already heard of it...

Next Pledge Tracker:

• The Next Pledge 1 year tracker tariff. This is a variable tariff that guarantees prices will always be £50 a year lower than the Ofgem price cap for the average dual fuel customer.
• Customers will see the £50 saving as reduced unit rates split across both electricity and gas (£25 saving per fuel).
• We’ll automatically update prices every three months in line with the Ofgem price cap and give two weeks notice of any price change. Price changes will take effect on 1 January, 1 April, 1st July and 1st October.
• This tariff is for dual fuel or single fuel only customers.
• You must pay by direct debit (this can be a variable direct debit) receipt of bill is not available for this tariff.
• Customers must manage their account online.
• Customers will need to agree to have smart meters installed where eligible.
• The Next Pledge tariff comes with 100% renewable electricity.

Existing Customers: If you would like to switch to the Next Pledge you can get a quote in your online account.
New Customers: You can get a quote online.

UPDATE:

This is now available to new and existing dual fuel or single fuel customers. If you are single fuel only then your saving will be £25 not £50 as it's £25 saving per fuel.

Please could you clarify: is that a 2.4% or so saving off the gas unit rate and a 2.4% or so saving off the electricity unit rate per kWh, for qualifying customers, and not always equal to £25 ?

You say it's for duel fuel customers only when I have gone to sign up online it allowed me to pick next pledge tracker I am electricity only. So am I eligible or not?

You will be eligible for the offer if they let you choose it
You'll only save £25 for electricity only most likely.

Hey @Queenchattu welcome to the community 👋 The lovely @retrotecchie has got it spot on this is now available to dual fuel or electric only customers however if you are electricity only then your saving will be £25 as it's £25 per fuel 😊

Is it correct that I can switch from NextPledge Tracker 12m V3 (which has exit penalties) to NextPledge Tracker 12m V4 (with no exit penalties) without paying the V3 exit penalties?

it depends on the exact terms. Some penalties only apply if you switch suppliers, but not if you stay with Eon Next. Checking the email sent when you signed up to your current tariff should provide the answer you seek.

Thanks. I did find the following in the joining Ts&Cs:

"You can arrange to switch to another of our tariffs or to another supplier at any time without giving notice, but if you switch supplier before we send you your renewal notice we may charge you an exit fee. See your confirmation letter for details."

This seems to say exit fees only apply if I switch supplier.

The welcome/confirmation letter only seems to state the value of the exit fees, but nothing on the conditions under which they are applied.

I'm going to presume exit fees don't apply for a V3 to V4 switch, which will mean I'm then free to look at new fixes from other suppliers as they come up.
