You might want to knock off 16th November as that was an event day (that was the 1st event that Eon Next only invited 10,000 as their test event) and include Tue 14th Nov instead. You are quite close though. Nothing wrong with your computational apparatus 😁

Why not? Otherwise what is the point of it all? Not exactly rocket science although the implemenation of it all is what is letting the DFS team down this year. -
I have amended my calculations and it's looking pretty good. Thanks for your input…

I now have another event to tend to and I have the house to myself at present. Did you get the invitation this time ?Last edited by JoeSoap; 05-12-23 at 17:19. Reason: Added link
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit. -
@JoeSoap
Good to see that your numbers are possibly within rounding errors 😉 and maybe shows that the DFS team's abacus is working correctly.
I agree that very few folk will know the ins and outs of the process and many found it totally bewildering last year. Nowt has changed for this year if erroneous emails have been sent out. Irrespective of these emails though, Eon Next (plus DFS deniers) need a sanity check from folk such as you and I to be satisfied that these DFS events are not a CON (in terms of the results being calculable which your data is showing that they are). 😁
I'm afraid its a 0/3 for me so far with Eon Next. 🙄 -
@Mailman
Thanks for your assistance in proving this works as intended. Sorry you’ve been excluded from the events so far but at least you’ve been able to participate with me and see that things seem to be working as they should 👍
After all I said, I’m alone in the dark with consumption down to 127w for the last half hour. I hope they stay out a bit longer as I don’t like to impose this meagre existence on them 😂 -
Just finished this 5 Dec event. Average usage about 0.75 kW and actual about 0.13kW so 0.62 saved. Should get about £1.85.

@Han_EONNext
For 29th Nov received one email saying I reduced by 49% saying I didn’t hit target then a few days later another email saying I had increased by 49%….
for 1st Dec I have received no email but my smart meter appears to have not sent data for 28th 29th 30th Nov
the communications on this have been awful. The first tranche of this scheme last winter were a doddle, with clear coms and targets and results. This week has been a waste of time. -
@Mailman
Just got the results for what must be Friday 1 December. Another sanity check...
Fri 01 Dec = 0.51kWh
Thu 30 Nov = 1.02
Wed 29 Nov = Event
Tue 28 Nov = 0.72
Mon 27 Nov = 1.00
Fri 24 Nov = 1.29
Thu 23 Nov = 0.58
Wed 22 Nov = 1.50
Tue 21 Nov = 0.70
Mon 20 Nov = 1.61
Fri 17 Nov = 0.73
Thu 16 Nov = Event
Wed 15 Nov = 0.91
Total for previous 10 weekdays (less event days) = 10.06
Average per day (approx.) = 1.00
Less 1 Dec consumption of 0.51
Total saved = 0.49kWh so a reduction of 49% according to Bright app data.
Eon Next email states a reduction of 49% so we are in agreement again. At £3/kWh that would equate to an award of £1.47.
However... this time they have actually awarded me £2.26. That would equate to around £4.55/kWh if my sums are correct... Bonus 👍
I have now received £1.98 and £2.26 and estimate I have reduced by approx. 83% in today's event (5 Dec) by knocking off 0.62kWh according to Bright. At £3/kWh, I predict a further £1.86 award.Last edited by JoeSoap; 06-12-23 at 14:44. Reason: Tried to get more accuracy with my£/kWh prediction

@Mailman
Thanks for the info. I have amended my previous post to include my award prediction for the event of 5 Dec. If that one tallies then I’ll probably just accept their calculations in future… yeah, right 🤔😂 -
@JoeSoap did you factor in the one session being an hour and a half long
