Sometimes it's purely down to where we're installing in the Country. There have been times where stock is sent to specific areas. I often receive emails about having a smart meter installed with the title of the email being 'we're installing in your area.
I would get in touch in a few weeks just to see if anything has changed, this is of course you dont have a Smets1 already installed? Do you want me to have a look and record your interest in having one?
I'm curious as to why the reason was a no from us, more than happy to check, if you want to pop me a DM
@retrotecchie You sir, are one of the most interesting people I have ever met/spoken too, is there anything you dont know?
The list of things I don't know is endless, but usually starts with 'Where did I leave my keys?' 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Followed by anything to do with Love Island, Peaky Blinders, TOWIE or Harry Potter.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@retrotecchie I dont mind Peaky Blinders, Harry Potter after The Prisoner of Azkaban gets interesting. Im more of a Paw Patrol fan, well you'd think so as it's the only thing on atm in this house! 🤣

When my offspring were that sort of age, my world seemed dominated by Tellytubbies. Just like cheesecloth shirts, flares and Cuban heel boots, I sincerely hope they never make a comeback. 🤣🤣🤣
Tellytubbies, that is. The children (now all grown up) are just about tolerable in small doses 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Tellytubbies did make a comeback from 2015-2018 and in 2022 via Netlfix. I don't know if they're still making them, but I remember it being on the BBC national news about them making a comeback in 2015.
I am awaiting a 'dummy' smart meter as there is no signal in my area for a connection, to enable export readings. Eon have now told me I cannot have one as I am too near Fylingdales, even in 'dummy' mode. I am in East Yorkshire 40 miles away frrom Fylingdales. Do I assume there are no smart meters in an 80 mile circumference circle centred at Fylingdales - ie most of Yorkshire? Since writing this I have read your posts on the subject, 'retrotechie', thanks. I will await!!

@JohnS99 Can I ask you to pop me a DM with your details please because it's my understanding that there are provisions in place for this type of scenario.
We can book these @JohnS99 as advised it will be a non functioning in terms of smart, we should have any issues moving forward and I will leave you with my colleague who you have spoken to today.
