I signed up for the reduce usage drive. Was told 20% less was my goal. Got the email 156% less electricity used. But email says sorry you didn’t hit your target. Well at least it didn’t cost me more to turn everything off and read a book for 1hr 30 minutes

You reduced your energy usage by 147%

Reason: Update
I'm going to need a mathematician to explain that one to me. My simple mind tells me you would have to go from an import to an export to reduce consumption by more than 100%.

Simple explanation is you are dealing with Imaginary Numbers.
A common example is the square root of -1. Which we all know comes up on a calculator as an error. In modern mathematics it's actually now shown as (i). Further information can be found here: https://www.mathsisfun.com/numbers/i...the%20alphabet.
So if my average is 1kWh and I reduce by 147%… what did I actually use? 🤔 and why did I fail…
asking for a friend 😁
It's really simple, as long as you look to Einstein's equation and the mathematical solution for Black Holes. It's really as simple as that. You are producing anti -matter! 🤔👽 Hence the percentage is over 100. 😳
