I never sit in the dark or go cold. I have gas CH and merely switch off unnecessary lights and don’t use anything electrical that generates significant heat, ie. kettle, oven etc. It helps if any lights you do have on are LEDs of course.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

When I say dark - just the Christmas tree lights (LED). Our heating is gas but the pump is electric and the gas costs us a lot so usually switches off anyway about 4pm after which we have our fluffy hoodies or whatever they are called which at times are too hot!
@Carl4 @JoeSoap - Great news! They've already noted that the dates are not on the emails and the DFS non-sale-sofa brand team are working to get it amended 🙌. I suppose, it wasn't a huge issue last winter, as the events were more spaced apart.
Great ideas with the hoodies! I send my littles to bed with their hot water bottles. From one kettle full, we manage to fill 4 x hot water bottles after squeezing the air out of it. They last for ages too! Tonight for our switch off, we're start a new Christmas book... Not sure which that is yet though. I wanted to see if they'd listen to The Northern Lights by Philip Pullman!

If they are adding the date can they also include the base figure you have calculated against. I realise so far that you have had problems calculating percentages so it would help to have some useful information to check.
I've got readings from the meter for actuals on event day, and details from bright on the history. They all tie up perfectly, just not with your calculated values.
My percentage calculations for two events of 29 Nov and 1 Dec tally with theirs. Problem is we don’t know exactly how much money they award per kWh for each individual event.
Now that I'm not including 16th Nov (Doh) my percentages align as well.
Excellent. 16th was a sneaky one but our resident mathematician @Mailman was on the ball and spotted the omission in my own calculations. No wonder it took me so long to work it all out correctly.
