I'm more than likely going senile but is the data on these ive buds from the meters? Is the time and date also taken from the meter? Does the meter or the ive bud work when weeks start? Sorry for asking silly questions 👴😵.

I think the Ivie bud is just an IHD but it may have some bells and whistles.

In order
Yes you probably are. Although none of us have covered ourselves with glory today 😂
The ivie bud is just an IHD made by Chameleon and that is what I have. I would assume that the data usage via the meter is accurately reflected in the IHD (it has been in the 2 years I've had it) 😀
I thought the weeks were from Monday-Sunday inc but I could not swear to it. Perhaps it should be a rolling amount of usage between two dates/times. I know the months usage starts at 1st of the month and just increments each day until resetting itself when the months change. Not sure as I don't pay any attention to the weekly/yearly numbers but I do pay attention to the previous day's usage and record it. FYI, my personal running total for the month so far shows 689 (up to and inc yesterday) + 28 (used so far today) = 717kWh and the IHD shows a monthly amount of 717kWh so accurate although all figures assume a CV of 40.

No such thing as a silly question 😬
Thank you so much. I'm just glad my smart meters have minds of their own and I don't have to rely on them. It would be interesting to whether the smart meter itself sorts out the weeks or whether it's the bud. One grey cell left 👴😂.
That's one more than me! Just done battle with the M6 round Birmingham 🫣
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
