Does anyone know of a simple way to create a graph of my energy usage over time. I've created a graph using Excel, based on my bills, but it's tedious and prone to (my) errors. Is there an app that could do this for me or is there a way to download raw data from Eon?
(Of course it would be nice if Eon could provide usage graphs for customers, but I don't suppose that is going to happen 😁)
Probably not what you were after but I'm here to brag about it; this was done with minimal hardware including a clip on "current transformer" at the meter tails, a scrap desktop PC making use of the blue audio input, and open source software:

Reason: how d'ya spell brag? well I'can't be great at everything, so I dunno.
Interesting @wizzo227 NPower used to give out a current sensor that you clipped at the meter tails. It transmitted to a LCD display by Bluetooth (if I can remember). Recorded and displayed KWh, and you could add you own tariff. I think it might be still in the garage.
Hi all,...Is there an app that could do this for me or is there a way to download raw data from Eon?
Hi - download the Bright app & register your meters, so you can view your usage in the app.
Once you've registered the meters, then via the Glowmarkt.com website you can download about a years worth of raw data in ½ hourly/daily/monthly time periods to do your graphing 👍
Assuming, of course the OP has smart meters. For those of us without, Excel (or other spreadsheet of choice) and manual readings is the way to go!
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.

The easy part for me was collating the information - all the data has been building up daily, monthly and yearly. My open Office spreadsheet contains everything I need energy wise. Creating a graph took longer to create than I thought it would but now that I've set it up, I should be good to just add to the graphs each month if I need to. I only really did the graphs below as an exercise in finding out the way to graph the data that I already had.
If you have smart meters extracting old data is doable (but not that easy), either long cut and pastes and/or copying numbers from one app to a spreadsheet. Using old bills is fine so long as the reads are smart or customer reads.
But as mentioned above, if you just want to see graphs with the minimum of fuss, then go to the Bright app if you have smart meters. 👍
