got one today saying i was overspednding by £315 and thst my account was over by £900. This doesnt match my statements at all. Ive checked the from email. Its legit. Theyre asking for a one off card payment of thw outstanding amount. Every single estimatw they give me is based on a family of 5. Im single. Solo and dont use their electricty. Every reading i send in is about the same amount. And every few months i get a monumental mess up on either their estimates or the outstanding amount and i waste a good hour getting to the bottom of it. Imagine if i wasnt used to this palava and just paid. Crazy
EON keep trying to push a smart meter when im not the issue. Its their calculation and their meter reader reading the wrong gas meter (local shop instead) which threw my entire account out of whack. I rent I dont want a smart meter. I shouldnt have to change to solve their problems.

Hello @oldagetraveller Anasa here 👋 It's great to have you on the forum!
I'm sorry you had issues with your Direct Debit. I think you've had some good advise from our members for sure and sometimes if the Direct Debit looks a bit off all you need to do is pop on line, make sure your reads are up to date and see if you can amend your payments.
There is a limit as to how low you can set your payments on line so if you can't quite get the amount you need then just give us a call we'll have a chat and see what's gone on and we'll set your payments at amount suitable for you and your needs ensuring that your usage is covered! I know it can be scary when a payment doesn't look right and we'd hate for our customers to be paying any more than is needed so we'll always have a second look to make sure we get things right 😊

" you've had some good advise"
Sums it up nicely when they don't know the difference between a noun and a verb! Their arithmatic is pre school too.
The staff and members of this forum have all tried to help you. If you have an issue with customer service then that's fine but no need for insults. I wouldn't dream of criticising your spelling of arithmetic.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

I nevver used to be able to spell enjineer, but now I are one 👨🔧
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Some spelling mistakes come from the 'thoughful' predictive text that many 'smart' devices use. For example my tablet (Fire Max 11) always refers to Eon Next as Don Next - anywan no this dude? 😁
