do want to borrow my plug in meter to measure those individual appliances? How old are those fridges and freezers? The point is they’re on 24/7 so despite being often considered being “only” a fridge/freezer they probably out consume all the other kitchen/ utility room appliances.
Such a lovely gesture @meldrewreborn this is what community is all about 🤩

My brand new A+++ rated BEKO fridge-freezer says 435kWh per annum on the energy rating sticker. That's about 1.2kWh per day, so I would expect pretty much that sort of ballpark figure for a similar appliance.
I just checked my 2-year old Beko FF as well - it states 304kWh/Year = 0.0394kWh/hour = 0.95kWh/day which feels about right.
Is yours bigger than mine ? 😄

Reason: Figure correction

It's a 60:40 split so more freezer than fridge really. Probably a tad more energy hungry than a 50:50 split as it has to keep a larger volume much colder.
I did manage to get a couple of Watts shaved off the consumption by removing the fridge light bulb and replacing it with LED. 👍
Mind you, I also have a full height upright freezer and another under counter fridge too! But what it costs to run them is a lot less than extra 60 mile round trips to the shops more often.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.

That is the same split as mine.
The thing is chugging along now but it looks as though the draw is nearer to 80W with the compressor on rather than the lower 50W I reported earlier.
Actually, my rating sticker says 305kWh per annum...I rechecked as something seemed fishy to me. That 435 figure was not my FF but the Hisense 'drive thru' jobby belonging to another member (Purplerachel123?) whose excessive consumption we tried to diagnose a while back.
Chances are you and I have nigh-on identical models!

Ah, that makes more sense then. If it draws 80w when the compressor is running then they probably assume it runs 50% of the time when making the annual consumption prediction.
I saw it on the BBC Red Button News. You couldn't make it up. I think they should make the energy firms pay more taxes on their profits, pay their shareholders lower dividends, plus give their fat cat bosses a pay cut, and no bonuses, rather than hit struggling customers with additional costs.
