I have just switched to EON Drive Tarriff and have a Ohme Pro charger. I have set the Charger to run from 12am-7am @9.5p per KwH, When i looked at my smart meter this morning it read £18.51 used?
I looked on my Ohme app and it said total cost for charge £3.68, there is nothing running over night apart from the car charging so how come i have been charged so much? taking into consideration the obvious standing charges.
thanks
This is a known issue and is being investigated. Others on Next Drive have been assured that they will be billed correctly. Bills are taking a long time to materialise though.
You could download the Hildebrand Bright app and enter your own ToU tariffs in the meantime. This will allow to to see what it is actually costing and to ensure your bills are correct when they finally appear.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
Just had a statement from Eon Next,theyve charged me £150 exit fee for moving over to EON drive tarriff they dont tell you that when you apply seeing as though its parctically the same company!!
And i wanted just the electric part of the Eon drive tarriff not the gas part. joke of a company, i'll be switching if i dont get anywhere with them when i ring later!!
I have just checked my daily usage for the overnight charge and Eon charged me £11.08, the bright app shows £3.68, somewhere something ain't right!! I will wait for my statement then have words, in the mean time they are refunding my £150 exit fee which they took.

Neither the meter nor the IHD have the correct £ it seems. All you can rely on the meter/IHD for is to tell you how many kWh have been consumed.
You are either going to have to trust that Eon Next is able to retrieve the relevant TOU (Time of Use) data from your meter for accurate billing (when it comes) OR use your own resources/apps (such as Bright)/spreadsheets to 'work it out for yourself' and reconcile your calculations with Eon Next's. Neither option is remotely ideal😦.
You could check that the £ cost calculated by the Ohme app is correct and rely on that in the meantime until Eon Next sort out what the meter/IHD is telling you (if they are able to!).

@dessieb
Just to put your mind at rest, and confirm all that has been said above - if you look at my post on the same subject, it looks like their billing system does calculate correctly (even though they can't actually produce the bills yet 🤔) https://community.eonnext.com/thread...ll=1#post39997
@dessieb As the previous posts have stated, you can only rely on your meter/IHD for the kWh consumption readings.
The only way you would see the correct costings on your IHD would be if the correct tariff rates have been uploaded to the meter - you need to check what tariff rate your meter has, as this is the value which will be picked up and used (for information only, not billing) by your IHD
Some people might have the correct ToU rates on their meter, but in my case EOn haven't (yet) been able to do this so I use the Bright app to display my actual costs, and download the meter ½ hourly consumption data to keep a spreadsheet of usage/cost
