There's been talks in Community town surrounding support in the colder months ❄ so the Community Team is happy to let you know that we'll be rolling out extra support for those vulnerable customers that need it!

What is the support E.ON Next will be offering?

• We’ll offer eligible customers with no energy debt 25% off our standard variable prices for the fixed term.
• We’ll offer eligible customers with an energy debt on joining the scheme 50% off our standard variable prices for the term - and with the promise that their debt at the point of sign up will be removed at the end of the term if all payments are made.

Am I eligible?

Those eligible will receive further communication from us. You do not need to apply - our Energy Specialists will start to contact customers who could be eligible this week via post, text, email, and phone, and they’ll work directly with them to check they are eligible for our support.
In addition, we have a range of other support available, such as our E.ON Next Pledge tariff which will track the price cap and remain £50 below the cap at average annual consumption, our E.ON Next Energy Fund and our free insulation offer as part of the Great British Insulation Scheme.

The option to switch to this tariff has appeared in my online account, but when I click the link I get the page that says "you can't renew online just yet. To renew your energy tariff online it needs to be ending in the next 45 days."
Is this an error, or do I not qualify? If I don't qualify why am I being given the option to switch, then being told I can't?
I'm confused.

If you are on an Eon Next fixed tariff at the moment and you are not 45 days from it's end, you can still change but you will need to contact Customer Services directly. Ways to contact Customer Services in the purple section at the bottom of the web page.

Many thanks for the info.
There is a phone number on the page I referred to which I dialled, but a recorded message said they all knock off at 5 O'clock, so I'll try again tomorrow.

Looking at the information over at MSE it would appear that I fall into the eligible category

as I fulfill all the criteria.

1. Q) How on earth will Eon Next know who are the customers that could be eligible as I've never been asked information pertaining to my household income? Will any savings be taken into consideration or just household income?
2. Q) The bare details suggest 25% (or 50%) off the standard variable prices (i.e. Next Flex) so how would this work for customers (like myself who end up being able to take Eon Next up on this offer) who are curently on fixed tariffs? (mine is Loyalty Fix v4 BTW)

Hi Han

I phoned the next day and spoke with Zunairah who confirmed that I qualified for Winter Support and made the switch.
This happened the same day that Renaldo turned up and replaced my uncooperative electricity meter, so things are going well here now. When the meter has established comms I can get the tariffs updated and I will be fully in action!
