Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@meldrewreborn I'm with Vodafone now and they are just as bad their Tobi bot isn't great he looks cute but knows nothing! Hopefully your complaint gets resolved quickly. I had a great experience with Three but there's no signal in my village with them!

The problem with Vodafone is there is no way of contacting their shops! No direct dial number at all. But if you need to speak to a director regarding a complaint, it's actually surprisingly easy!
Right, update on this matter. On their website it says O2 will get back to the customer on a complaint within 5 working days. In the email message it says 7 working days. As the latter period was up this morning and they hadn't contacted me, I contacted them again - got put through to disconnections, as my irritation level was sky high.
Spoke to a nice person who listened to my story. We agreed a way forward for a 12 month contract and 20 GB of data for £8 per month, but the system wouldn't allow that to be put through because of the last contract change was too recent. But somehow it would instead allow a 24 month contract for 25GB for £8 per month (£18 less a loyalty discount of £10 - people in disconnections have access to levels others don't!!!). The 25GB is doubled to 50GB using my volt benefits add-on which is now restored.
My complaint though is still rumbling on through their system (sic), but at least I've resolved the monthly billing amount to my satisfaction. 😁

Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@meldrewreborn It's going to get interesting for me next April, since I recently signed up for Virgin getting 15 gig (which I didn't really need/want) for £8
Virgin have now merged all their accounts with O2, and part of the deal was you got at least double the data in your package for the same price - fixed until April 2024 ... so I'm now on 50 gig (which I definitely don't want)
The equivalent O2 package should cost around £20, so you can bet your bottom dollar that they'll try and bump me to that tariff when the fixed price period ends in April 🤪
My advice to to shop around. Loyalty usually comes at a price these days - those who are loyal are often exploited by suppliers. Shop around then challenge existing supplier armed with the alternative package.
Switching from one mobile company to another usually only takes a day to port the number across so there is little to lose.
But O2 still has european roaming built in which can be useful..
@meldrewreborn
I use an MVNO. £5 a month. 5gb/month of which I use 1gb if I really go mad. 5G. 1000 mins of which I might use half. Roaming included. Excellent coverage even in the Lakes, North Yorkshire moors and deepest Bowland. No yearly price increases. No contract.
