If you're charging your PHEV from a 3-pin you could use one of these for each car,
Off Peak is 12am-5am
Yep, I have got some Smartthings smart plugs but I am cautious as it is 10A continuous load and the regular plug does get slightly warm and so does the cable get just a tiny little bit warmer.
Also the vehicles can be programmed to start charging in a time window.
The Philips dishwasher is quite easy to set a delayed start but the Samsung washer and dryer are too smart for their own good and have to programmed with an end of cycle time in whole hours. As they are smart it could be hoped that this could be done on an app but it has to be programmed using an infernal machine menu.
Having the in house display is useful for checking that each 32 Amp ring final does not exceed 7kW.
Looks like someone has woken up the beast.
Although not enough as I haven't received the email yet, wonder what the selection criteria. (Alphabetical, Area, Random, Hasn't posted horrible comments on community boards).
Yes: 3 No: 11 (The 2 Yeses hadn't been included in the No list)
Do you think Helen Bradbury (Director) has registered or is that just robbing from her own bonus?. That does presuppose she actually pays for the energy and it isn't one of the many perks received on the back of the oppressed hoards.
I received my invitation yesterday. I signed up as there’s nothing to lose (even if there’s not much to gain) but will only participate if convenient.
Nothing to lose...
Try British Gas Peak Save because they will pay a minimum of £1.

I passed every one I participated in last year and earned an average of around £2 each time and always well over a £1. That was purely by reducing consumption during the shift window and not by consuming more in the earlier in-day adjustment period that I was unaware of at the time. By the time I got wind of it I think they pulled the plug on it.
Anyway, I don’t want to naff off the family this year by huddling around a 3w light bulb for the evening (to borrow your phrase), even for a guaranteed pound, If it’s convenient not to use anything that produces a lot of heat during the event then I might give it a whirl.
I saved more than a pound as well, although only got 2 sessions by the time Eon sorted themselves out. Luck would have it that we moved dinner before the session started. I didn't know about the adjustment period until I found an article on how it is calculated this year so that may have helped.
You'll see by @Actual's avatar that sums of £12.84 were achievable last year. I was just happy to do my bit to smooth out energy demand and make a few quid whilst I was about it. Things have changed for me and it may not be easy for me to do this year, so although I'll participate in as far as signing up, home life comes first.
