I have exactly the same experience. EON dont even seem to recognise I have a dual fual tariff their end. However I am getting a statement showing dual rates but they appear wrong and massively in EONs favour. I have been told that the worktop meter monitors cant actually reflect the dual fuel tariffs. How on earth can they go to market with a product that doesnt work! Have been emailing and phoning them for a week to try and sort but am getting knowhere. Can anyone reassure me that this isnt a massive scam?
Hi @
Bricks - my meter only contains the single tariff rate I was on before taking the Drive tariff - the IHD picks up this rate from the meter so consequently the costs it displayed are incorrect, however the kWh usage shown will be correct and accurate.
I use the Bright app which also picks up the rate from the meter, so consequently the costs that it displays will also be wrong. However you can override the default rate and add your two daytime and night time ToU rates into Bright so it will then give you the correct costings.
Also, having registered your meters with Bright you can then download your historical ½ hourly kWh usage data in CSV format from their parent website glowmarkt.com, which you can load into a spreadsheet to calculate your true costings based on the tariff for the particular times of use.
I was assured when joining Next Drive that although the IHD wasn't capable of showing the Drive costings, the billing system would be correct. This has luckily proved to be the case, when compared to my spreadsheet cost calculations 👍
