I have an instalment plan showing on my credit file. I never needed, discussed or signed up for an instalment plan. However, when I moved my Electric to another supplier for an improved EV Tarriff I kept my Gas with Eon. On a credit redial I checked my credit file which is excellent but shows an Installment plan with EON. My complaint has yet to receive a reply. Can anyone help?
I don’t know if you have tried to talk to customer service before raising a complaint but if not then that might be the best way to get the quickest answer as to what this instalment plan actually is.
I just had a look through my credit file to see if this was just something that was put on there due to paying by monthly DD whereby it’s possible to dip into debit. I couldn’t see anything. I think a phone call would be a good start if you haven’t already done that.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
After being with E.On Next for just over 18 months, all of a sudden my E.On Next account now shows up on my credit file too!
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Well, there you go. Maybe we’ll all end up with them on our file. I have my water company and mobile phone contract on my file under Utilities but not my energy provider (yet).
I don’t have an issue with it, although it’s them that owe me money most, if not all, of the time and not the other way around.
That's about right. I'm using Clearscore which gets data from both Equifax and Experian. E.On Next popped up Under utilities for the first time about two weeks ago. But it's a 'positive' addition. It shows me keeping my nose clean and managing things nicely.
I have a Credit Karma account and nothing shows in there. The only bit in the MSE thing that would concern me is the bit about Arrangement to Pay. Hopefully anyone doing a credit check would see it's an energy account that's paid by monthly DD (if that was the case) and the account is designed to go from credit to debit and back again.
Mine look like this on Clearscore. Interestingly the date I joined E.On Next following my involuntary 'migration' from Igloo is shown correctly, but they only show data for the last few months. No mention of credit account or any 'arrangements'. Just that it's a utility account. But nothing for my water supplier Dwr Cymru despite having a rolling monthly credit agreement with them too, for the last 10 years.
A bit like your Bright app, Joe...a lot of missing data!!
Did you manage to speak to one of our Energy Specialists about this?
