@JoeSoap re the rice pud crust: It depends what model you have some can go in the oven for browning I have one that can go on the stove and in the oven but always check the instructions as I know lots of the ceramic pot ones aren't oven proof.
@retrotecchie see my husband likes a boiled egg in his salads and for making egg mayo sandwiches etc, I'm not a fan of a dippy egg I do however like egg in a cup bashed up with a bit of butter, salt n pepper it's delish! @Tommysgirl I've never done lasagna in the slow cooker, I have done mac n cheese though!
@WizzyWigg is right you might need to adjust your recipes to have a little less water as it doesn't evaporate like it does in the oven. I usually make sure whatever I'm cooking is just covered with liquid and no more and I always have cornflour in just in case it doesn't thicken! I have to admit though I like @meldrewreborn style a glass of wine makes everything taste better 😂
