Well, since submitting my manual readings, my credit balance has been adjusted accordingly and I am now able to request a refund online π
Now that really doesn't make any sense. If that's the case the only time you can apply for a refund is after a meter read. Didn't read that in the criteria. π€ͺ
Fantastic news @JoeSoap good to know that it's working and is actually live, I was starting to doubt myself there, I was thinking I had the dates wrong and I had released info too soon π

You could amend your opening post to suggest people submit a manual reading if they don't want to wait for smart readings to be taken before they have the ability to request the refund online.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
@WizzyWigg @JoeSoap, clearly it has been a long day for me π€¦ββοΈ the account still needs to have been billed up to date in the last 14 days as it would when requesting a refund the usual way. so if a meter reading hasn't been submitted in the last 14 days then you would need to do this first before requesting a refund. I will update the post to avoid further confusion!
It's an answer I wish I hadn't been in a position to inadvertently come up with though π€π€―
As I said earlier shall we put you forward for that Beta Tester vacancy. These issues seem to be attracted to you. Must make you an ideal candidate. π€£π€£π€£

You may be right. I need to go to bed and stare at the ceiling all night again. This is all doing me in... and the characters are all wearing off my keyboard... more hassle π

Have a great night. The gremlins will be happy to start afresh in the morning. In fact don't bother counting sheep, try counting those critters. π€ͺπ
I reckon that it's more of a DCC issue rather than supplier.
As usual, not fit for purpose. The sooner someone realises that PLC is the way to go, bins the DCC and hands smart metering over to the DNOs with OS access to the HAN for customers, the better.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
