The current version of the Android app (v.1.8.2) doesn't have permissions to write files, so consequently when you click on <Download Statement> you get Permission Denied!
The app settings don't include the file access permission as a selectable option, so there's actually no way that I can see to enable this permission
No problem however to log in to the website and download from there, but bit of a pain as the option is present in the app but just not useable 😥
<edit>
I've just uninstalled/reinstalled the app but no change

Strange...on my phone as soon as you click the download icon, I get a slide up from the bottom of the screen that asks me what I want to open it with - OneDrive, Samsung PDF Reader or Google Drive. From Samsung PDF viewer, I get the option to save, no problem. The current version of the Eon Next app is 1.8.2 on my phone.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Strange, that if you expand the app permissions it appears that "download files without notification" is there, but I still instantly get Permission Denied!

@WizzyWigg The screenshot above which I took of the system app permission, show the only ones available are camera; location and notifications... so no help for file permissions unfortunately :(
@WizzyWigg @retrotecchie Just dug out my old phone (Android 8.1) and on this I get the expected "Allow Permissions" dialog the first time I download
So clearly it's an Android v.13/phone issue with this app (phone is a OnePlus9) But it's only happening in this app - no problem downloading files in other apps, which have all given me that dialog the 1st time used Hence I think it's something one of the app developers needs to address...

Very strange as @retrotecchie is on V13 with no problem. Have you not got a permission manager under Security and/or Privacy. The manager allows you to select the permission and add to app.
