@Docler - as mentioned earlier in this thread, your best bet is to download the "Bright" app, which shows your true consumption in ½ hourly intervals, and just recently has been updated to allow you override the rates from your meter, and enter your correct ToU tariff times/rates. (The tariff Bright picks up is the one from your meter, which my case is incorrect)
You can also download the raw data from glowmarkt.com (Bright's parent website) to create your own spreadsheet if you want.
So I'm happy that my ½ hourly meter readings & my own spreadsheet costings match those shown on the Bright app.
I've been on Next Drive for 2 months now, but EOn have not been able to provide a statement yet; their app doesn't yet provide ToU tariff displays; they are unable to update the ToU rates onto my meter (which are just informational anyway) - but I've been assured my bills will be calculated correctly.
Just need to see some proof...🤞
Where's the can of worms emoticon...🪱🪱
2 months with no electricity statements
requested detailed breakdown
no statement received...yet
just checked my online account
have been debited an amount for electricity which (with a quick calculation) looks remarkably like the difference between the current meter reading less the previous meter * the incorrect meter (next-flex?) tarrif rate!!
That's what I ask for from the help desk, at the end of every month. A screenshot of overall summary. They still need to get their act together, and sort out this issue, and App as well. Hopefully, we will get there in the end.
Same here two months on the tariff and no bills yet. Asked for a statement and customer services just produced a statement of the account showing my direct debit going in and nothing being charged! Thanks to this thread installed Bright and have at least worked out that my smart meter is sending half-hourly readings (though there is a gap for the first month). I wonder if all Drive customers are experiencing this. My bet is they didn't expect the number of sign-ups they are getting, and this is probably down to them not checking if customers are EV drivers or not, and Octopus locking in with particular charger brands or specific EV makes for their cheapest EV charge tariff.
This is great news @geoffers and thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. it's great when we can take things like this back into the business and raise awareness to make things better! 🙌
More good news - I've just received the corresponding "official" statement for the above period, so looks like the billing system is now working for Next Drive.
Looking forward to my next statement in a few weeks, which will include the BST to GMT changeover
So must make sure I'm charging the car to see if my "extra hour in bed" includes an extra hour of cheaper leccy 🤓 (which will be countered by the hour lost next March ☹️)
In this modern day and age, we don't really need daylight savings any more. The sooner we do away with it the better.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.

Just a heads up if you're using the Bright app to monitor your ToU tariff costs - I've just checked their daily costs against my cost analysis spreadsheet and in fact Bright are calculating them wrong in the summertime (BST)! 😲
Bright are applying the tariff cost timings against the raw data which is stored as UTC time (ie GMT) so are an hour out in the summer. Now that the clocks have changed hopefully their costs should be correct.
I'll raise another ticket with Bright to highlight this.
I've created an Excel VBA macro which calculates the costs based on both GMT and BST so can instantly spot which calculation base is being used.
Luckily now that I've had my EOn statements I can confirm that they matched my BST calculations - I'll need to wait for my next statement to see whether they match the GMT costs too
